    Very good

Although there had been an unexpected change of management at the hotel a few days before our stay the new management could not have been more accomodating. Food was good, beer was good and rooms comfortable. The location is perfect for walkers with easy access to The New Forest and the Avon Valley.

Relaxed, homely feel to the whole place, really friendly staff.

    Very good

It had a car park, it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. It was in a nice location and not too far from the main route. Very easy and affordable.

Some of the facilities need to be updated, but overall, we had a nice stay and have re-booked to go back there again in a few weeks.

    Good

Ideally situated for Salisbury and the New Forrest. The room was in the main part of the hotel and was bright and welcoming with windows on two sides. The bed was comfortable and there was very little noise from either the road or other rooms so it was a peaceful stay.

The extractor wasn't working in the bathroom so there was no ventilation and condenstation marks could be seen down the walls. The bathroom (and to a lesser extent, the bedroom) would have benefited from a fresh lick of paint.

    Fabulous

Friendly, helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. Seeing the juniors playing cricket on Sunday morning was a blast from our past.

I had a pleasant four-night stay. The staff were generally friendly, the day-to-day cleanliness was good and the breakfast was nice. It's well located for both Salisbury and the New Forest.

Some aspects of the accommodation are looking tired. The corridors leading to the room are rather dreary and, within the room, furniture and carpets are somewhat scuffed and marked. However, this didn't significantly detract from my overall enjoyment.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere but clean & tidy. Beautiful, a welcome break to standard clinical hotels.

    Fabulous

The restaurant was lovely which delicious food.......... Would recommend that you try it!!

As some per some previous comments, it could be a bit noisy if your room was above the restaurant but that noise didn't disturb us. After the restaurant closed it was nice and peaceful even when it was time to serve breakfast.

Woodfalls is easy to find and has good car parking. It would be a good base for exploring the area (New Forest). My en suite room was adequate, had tea/coffee-making facilities, hair dryer built-in closet and tv.

Some thought has been given to decor: my room had the fashionable 'distressed' look (which I, personally, dislike). I had a corner room with two (single-glazed) windows and, for mid-June was unseasonally cold. (There was a spare blanket in the closet.) When I arrived, at approximately four pm on a Friday, there was no hot water. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am Monday to Friday and between 9 and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday. There did not seem to be any flexibility here so, as I was on a weekend course (15/20 minutes drive away) which began at 9:30 I had to forego the pleasure of a 'full English'. I chose Woodfalls because I had a pleasant stay last year. (Including breakfast!) I won't be going again. (I would recommend this hotel - but with the reservations mentioned above.)

    Exceptional

The room was very clean and we had clean towels every day. The staff was all very friendly and efficient and made our stay a very pleasant one.

Perhaps bit more variety on the on the food menu but that’s all.

    Superb

The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent - the steak was cooked to perfection - one of the best I've had in ages. Free WiFi which is good. They let me check in really early - well pleased.

The blind in the room let a lot of light through which made it difficult to sleep. There window also didn't seal properly which meant you could hear lots of road noise as clear as day. The breakfast wasn't served early enough for business travel.
